Grove Collaborative Haul

Within the past couple months, I have been focusing on sustainability and creating positive changes in my use to help the environment. While scrolling through Facebook, I saw an advertisement from Grove Collaborative about their products and I was instantly drawn in.

Grove Collaborative

Grove Collaborative is a company that focuses on finding products that are environmentally-friendly and placing them under a service that can send out packages every month. They have household cleaning supplies, pet supplies, personal care items, and kid-friendly personal care supplies too! Because of the huge amount of items they have listed on their website, it makes it easier to transition towards sustainable living.

My 1st Grove Collaborative Purchase

For my first purchase, I paid $30. That’s right, all that for just $30. There were a lot of freebies if you bought a certain amount. The items that I bought were a box of tissues, dishwasher tabs, trash bags, toilet cleaner, bathroom cleaner, and disinfecting wipes. So, when I ordered my $30 worth of product, they added the glass spray bottle, cleaning concentrate, hand soap, dish soap, cleaning caddy, walnut scrubber sponges, paper towels, and toilet paper all for free!

Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, & Tissues

Grove Collaborative Paper Items

These boxes are the real reason for why I ordered from Grove Collaborative. One of my main focuses in becoming sustainable is finding paper towels and toilet paper that replace the plastic-wrapped jumbo packs from Costco. The Seedling brand is not only boxed, not wrapped, but also made from fast-growing bamboo. It’s also safe for septic tanks, so no concerns there!

Toilet paper: We have always used the Kirkland Signature brand from Costco. Honestly, I feel like this toilet paper is so soft! When you first look at it, it seems like it’s not going to be very soft and it looks really thin, but it works great!

Tissues: When I first opened the box, it was really difficult to get a tissue out. I had to rip out a chunk of them to get it started, which was frustrating. But as it comes to tissues, they are fine. Not super soft, but they work! I’m also a pretty hard nose blower, and these withstand my nose blows, which is pretty impressive in itself!

Mrs. Meyer’s Products

Grove Collaborative Mrs. Meyer's Products

Most of the Mrs. Meyer’s products were free products from Grove Collaborative – the dish soap and the hand soap. However, I bought the dishwasher tabs because we have our dishwasher, and we use it A LOT. So if I can find a better product to use, sign me up! This company is paraben free and made in the U.S. Along with that, 97% of the ingredients in the dishwasher tabs are naturally derived.

Cleaning Products

Grove Collaborative Cleaning Supplies

I am super excited to try the various cleaning products from Grove Collaborative, as I feel like safe cleaning products are so hard to find. The sponges, tile cleaner, and glass bottle were the free items, but I purchased the disinfecting wipes, toilet cleaner, and bathroom cleaner.

Tile and tub cleaner: The tile cleaner is the first concentrate cleaning product I’ve ever used before. It was so easy to mix it up and make. When it came to cleaning, I sprayed it around the edge of the tub and went to grab a sponge. When I came back, the dirt was already breaking down and there was dirty streaks running down the side of the tub. I just wiped with the sponge and it came off, I was amazed! And the smell is so nice!

Toilet cleaner: When I clean the toilet, I usually let the cleaner sit in the toilet for a while before scrubbing. This time, I sprayed it and let it sit for a couple minutes and then scrubbed a little bit. It worked really well and cleaned out quite a bit of grossness. After cleaning it, a few minutes later, it looked like the toilet was way cleaner than when I had scrubbed it! The scent of mint was different from my toilet, and it was a little weird, but overall, I’m definitely going to keep using it.

Overall, I’m excited that I found products that work and help me start to be sustainable. I’m planning on maintaining my membership and keeping up on the monthly shipments. If you’re interested in trying, head to this link and if you start, I receive $10 of Grove credit. Even if you just want to check out what they have!
