Stocking Stuffers for Babies

Last year, when my son was just about 4 months old, I had no clue what to put into a stocking for a baby! However, with some thought, I was able to come up with some stocking stuffers for babies. What I kept in mind was that babies are starting to eat baby food soon and starting to teeth! Basically, safe things for babies to put in their mouth are the main stocking stuffer that I put in a baby’s stocking.

Teether

Of course, a teether is a go-to great stocking stuffer for babies. There are so many options as well, but my tried and true teethers are:

Baby food

Baby food is an easy stocking stuffer! You can get sets or just one container! I would recommend just checking in with the families to see if there’s a specific brand they prefer or if there’s a brand they try to stay clear of.

Baby snacks

Alright, baby snacks are so great as gifts. There have been several times over the course of both my kids’ lives that they have been gifted teething crackers and puffs. And I love it for them! A new snack that my son LOVES is the pick-me-sticks. They’re only available at Target in our area, but Amazon carries them and they have a strawberry flavor that I’m adding to the cart right now!

Socks

You know how your socks always seem to have one that vanishes after a while? Imagine itty bitty socks. Every load, I swear there’s another sock without its match. So baby socks make great stocking stuffers for babies.

Rattle

A classic toy that is small and fits in a stocking!

Pacifiers

If baby is into pacifiers, getting extra is all always a good idea. We’ve had to order at least 3 times to get extra pacifiers in our house for our son.

First Christmas ornament kit

With a baby in the family, you’ll want to do keepsakes! A first Christmas ornament kit is a great stocking stuffer for babies – or some type of keepsake do it each year.

Black and white cards

Babies love black and white contrasting colors, so getting cards or books that are designed for babies are fun as stocking stuffers.

Small Electronic Toys

Okay – as a Montessori-esque parent, I have always really tried to limit the electronic toys that my kids have. However, when my kids are having meltdowns, sometimes a flashing light toy with sound is the only thing to get the tantrum to start. So having one or two around the house (or in the car) is all good. It’s all about moderation right? Plus their little brains are learning about cause and effect – I push this button and the lights go off! With that, I recommend this cute little remote control. Right now, it’s in the car to distract my son so I can get him into his car seat ha!

When it comes to getting stocking stuffers for babies, it can be hard to figure out what to put in there. However, it’s also important to remember that they don’t need much!
